I made new outfits, new ships, new governments, etc. I did give it a lot of plot, and I think I was even expanding on many of the other wars. The thing is, it isn't easy beating a dozen UE Cruisers or a half-dozen Voinions Dreadnaughts- View image here:.
I expanded on the Voinion War to the extent where, if you were the Voinions, you would begin to decimate the UE, or vice-versa. This reminds me, maybe I SHOULD finish the mods, just for closure. Lol, I personally spent so much time on EV:Override that I don't know where the months went - View image here: - I have developed about a half-dozen, half-made mods.

It said unless you are a registered user, you cannot play mods for EV:Nova. I hacked the game with ResEdit and to my disappointment, IT WOULDN'T load. It was very asthetically pleasing, but at the same time, I immediately felt inclined to cheat, get a good ship, and pass it ASAP since I have owned EV and EV Override. I have a PowerMac 6500 upstairs and it can run *barely* EV Nova. So, anyone else really looking forward to this?

I'm guessing a full version is getting closer all the time. According to the Progress Log, Beta 7 was released to testers back on February 20th. However! There is a fully functional beta being tested right now. Unforunately, no, for those of you thinking this is announcing what we all want to hear - no, EV:N has not yet been released.
Several hours later, I was lamenting the fact that if FL had included more EV stuff in it, that it would be nearly perfect, when a little bird whispered in my ear, "Remember? They're porting EV:N to the PC!" So I went out and googled around, found Ambrosia Software's site (damn you Captain Hector, damn you to hell.) The graphics are great, for 2D, but it's the gameplay that really, really shines. EV is a 2D, top-down space adventure/rpg that literally stole months of my life back in the late 90s. (I've never owned a mac, and always used an emulator to play EV). FL was a 3D version of the fantastic series of games for the Macintosh - Escape Velocity. After playing for a mere hour or two, I was astounded. So, I recently went out and picked up Freelancer, cause I tend to enjoy space-type games.
